ISTQB advanced status: in progress

Image
Reporting status on ISTQB advanced test analyst certificate: preparation in progress. Almost finishing reading the book , then will try another one . Do not feel very exciting while digging into testing theory - in my current position I do not use a lot what I read about. Just taking care of my present and future as a tester. Would be nice to be certified. On of the best sites found recently - softwaretestinggenius.com . Full site of pdf download, ISTQB sample questions. Sample exams could be the latest phase of preparation for me - after the Books. Any recommendation? http://www.softwaretestinggenius.com

New Software Quality Testing Certification

Image
While reading the last issue of Testing experience, found a short message: 'Industry Leaders Announce New Software Quality Testing Certification'. QAMP® - Quality Assurance Management Professional. It sets high standards - to a broad theoretical knowledge – which needs to be demonstrated by 3 successfully passed certification examinations – it attests the practical knowledge and project experience of the certified employee. Theoretical and practical knowledge both have to be updated annually. Upon completion of all three certificates and proof of the two year practical experience, the participant will be certified as iSQI Quality Assurance Management Professional (QAMP). In case the applicant is not able to submit evidence of practical experience (e.g. graduates) the applicant will receive the status iSQI Quality Assurance Management Professional (QAMP) - Bachelor. Attached the certification schema, not easy to understand. I suggest visiting their site, www.qamp.org. My note, ...

ISTQB advanced certification ir Lithuania

Good title of the post. If you have questions about advanced ISTQB certification in Lithuania, the only answer is - not possible (only foundation level). For the moment, there is no testing board in Lithuania, so decided to write where you may take the tests for advanced certification. Polish Testing Board (www.sjsi.org)works over 6 years. There would be no problem (i guess) to take the exam. The website is really full of information, even with the statistics - pass and fail ratio. Latvia Testing Board is a few times younger. And for now they have accreditation only for Foundation Level. You may read more on their web site. (Updated post after the comment, thanks to Rimvydas)

Online certification: testingsense

Willing to make a break from certification questions. However that is not easy. Found another topic for reading - online certification . There are two certifications, available online: Software Testing Fundamentals and Testing Expert Certification . Tried to do the fundamentals test. Scored 65percent, and did not reach the required 70. After taking test I will not able to get another ticket for next 3 months. What I did not like about the site - could not find the material for exam questions. Do not believe in opinion, that every tester should know the terms, used in the test. And there were some, that I saw first time. So, you may try to do the exam. Maybe will be succesful and print out your certificate. Although I believe there should be better online certification sites for testers :)

Practitioner Certificate in Test Analysis This qualification enables testing practitioners to gain professional recognition for advanced level skills in the more technical, analytical aspects of testing. Certification: Software Quality Engineer Certification CSQE

ASQ (American Society for Quality) offers Software Quality Engineer Certification - CSQE . The requirements for passing examination seems pretty high - the highest from all the certifications I have written about already. You must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Software Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge. Part of the eight-year experience requirement will be waived depending on your completed a degree from a college or university. For example - Bachelor's degree–four years waived. The Software Quality Engineer examination is a one-part, 160-question, four-hour exam and is offered in English only. The ASQ also offers some resources for preparation, the best part I liked - sample exam online to check yourself. Myself i was SHOCKED. English is not my native language, i have no problems with reading material, but the exam questions does not seem very easy and i really doubt if I could pass it now... For exam taking you may apply ...

CERTIFICATION: Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)

Image
The International Institute for Software Testing (IIST) offers the Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) certification . CSTP is an education-based certification, based on a Body of Knowledge that covers areas the most important software testing areas. It was interesting to compare the information I found on this certification, with the previous ones I have written already. This certification is also for new testers, new to the testing field - the job requirement is at least one year of testing. The next requirement is studying - class attending and learning the course hte IIST provides. I like this - now, for me would be easier to learn in a class, not myself at home.. The graduation fee is $120, non-refundable. The CSTP Body of Knowledge covers: priciples of software testing, test design, managing the testing process, test executions and bug tracking, area of requirements, test automation and static testing. One more interesting thing is that CSTP Certification will expire 3 ...
